Form follows Function (Louis Sullivan). If a design fails to complete it’s purpose, it is objectively wrong. Graphic Design revolves around the purpose of easily enabling a viewer to recognize, gather, and comprehend information quickly and easily. If a design falls short of any of these goals, it should be redesigned. Beauty is secondary in design.
With function in mind, each design is carefully created. Every anchor point is specifically placed, every element purposeful, and each design intentional. It isn’t a collection of “things that look good” or “it might help.” There is a reason for all of it.
Throughout designing, everything is carefully inspected to ensure absolute precision. Every curve, anchor, and element is checked for accuracy. The worst thing to happen to a design is for it to be pushed to production with a fatal flaw embedded. Alignment, cohesion, colors, spelling, information, and much more are paramount to precision.
